Utica Elite & Huskies Both Unbeaten

Utica Elite and the Huskies are again the dominant teams in the women's division at 3-0.

Three Syracuse University players lead the Elite squad. Tiana Mangkahia (shown in photo) is one of the top point guards in the nation, averaging 17.5 points and 10.4 assists for the Orange. The Australian has an excellent chance to become the fourth King of Kings player to reach the WNBA, joining Brianna Kiesel, Brittney Sykes and Alexis Peterson. Miranda Drummond is in her second season with King of Kings, and had 14.9 points and 10.4 rebunds per game as an Orange starter. Incoming freshman Emily Engstler was one of the nation's top propects. The 6-2 NYC native has shown she can do it all.

The Huskies are also mostly current college players. Point guard McKayla Roberts is one of several Lemoyne players on the team. She was a King of Kings all-star last season and a two-year startyer at Lemoyne. Beth Bonin, who ahs played with both McKayla and sister Sam Roberts since childhood, plays at Queens College. where she is a conference all-star. Meg Hair is Jamesville-Dewitt High's all-time leading scorer and will be a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania.

Utica Elite plays the Huskies on July 24 at 8:00 at MVCC.
