Monday, Aug. 7

Upstate Swagger (2) 85,  Utica Elite (7) 77

Number 2 seed Upstate Swagger came from 18 points down to defeat #7 Utica Elite, 85-78. Jafar Kinsey lit it up for the winners with 43 points. He won't be playing for the rest of the season because he leaves for the University of North Dakota on Wednesday. Kenton Chan-Man added 19 points for Swagger. Utica Elite got 27 points from Cam Dobbs and
19 from Manny Hernandez.

7:45 – Prestige Elite (4) 120, CNY Concrete 119 (2OT)

In one of our most memorable games ever, #4 seed Prestige Elite held off the challenge of #5 CNY Concrete with a 120-119 double overtime win. The winners were led by Mickey Davis with 35 points and Brandon Triche and Tyquan Rolon with 24 each. Jalen Hawkins was dominant for CNY with 46 points and Geoff Brown added 24.

Wednesday Aug 9

Rim Rockers 89, GBG 76

Sixth-seed Rim Rockers continued to turn their season around with a start-to-finish 89-76 win over #3 GBG. The win advances the Rockers into the 6:30 semi-final game Friday at MVCC against #2 seed Upstate Swagger. The Rockers lost their first five games, and have now won three straight. Brandon Hanks with 18 points and Cornelius Vines with 17 led the winners, while Josh Wright and Anthony Bryant each had17 for GBG.

Semifinals

Rim Rockers 87, Upstate Swagger 73

Rim Rockers started the season at 0-5, but now they are headed to the men's finals after an 87-73 win over Upstate Swagger. Rim Rockers had a very balanced scoring attack, with Mookie Jones and Cornelius Vines leading with 13 each and Lamar Kearse adding 12. Kenton Chan-Man had 24 for Swagger, and James Jones added 14.

Eggan Excavating 97, Prestige Elite 66

Eggan Excavating continued its dominant play with a 97-66 semifinal win over Prestige Elite. Eggan will play Rim Rockers Sunday at 3:45 at MVCC. Shea Bromirski with 26 points led Eggans, with EJ Gallup adding 23 and Andrew Platek 22. Tyquan Rolon had 21points for Prestige, and Mickey Davis had 18.

Women's Playoff Schedule at MVCC

Tuesday, Aug. 8

Rim Rockers 61, Huskies 54

Fifth seed Rim Rockers jumped to an early lead and withstood several runs by #4 Huskies for a 61-54 win. Stevie Ray had 21 points and Lyteshia Price 15 for Rim Rockers. Mikayla Roberts' three-point shooting sparked the Huskies with 20 points and Joanna Dobrovosky added 11. Rim Rockers play #1 seed One In A Million in the semi-finals at 7:15 at MVCC.

Retro Fitness 57, Thoroughbreds 41

Six seed Retro Fitness came up with its best effort of the season in time for the playoffs with a 57-41 win over #3 Thoroughbreds. Tyler Ash with 19 points and Allie Taylor with 15 led Retro Fitness, while Lauren Getman led Thoroughbreds with 17 points and Ashley Mayo chipped in 13. Retro Fitness plays 2nd seed WBDT in the 6:00 semi-final Thursday at MVCC

Thursday, Aug. 10

Semifinals

(6) Retro Fitness 67, (2) WBDT 59

Retro Fitness battled for a 67-59 win over WBDT in the women's semi-finals. Tyler Ash with 22 points and Sophronia Sallard with 14 led Retro Fitness. Irene Hudson had 14 points for WBDT.

One In A Million (1) 69, (5) Rim Rockers 61

Unbeaten One In A Million led from start to finish to advance to the women's finals, 69-61, over Rim Rockers. Incoming Syracuse University transfers Isis Young with 34 points and Miranda Drummond with 19 led the winners. Topping Rim Rockers were Stevie Ray and Gabby Eurie with 16 each.

Championship

One In A Million 79, Retro Fitness 54

Isis Young poured in 41 points to lead One In A Million to an unbeaten season.

Shea Bromirski showed again why he is among the best players in the league, as he hit key shots in the last period to key Eggan Excavating to an 83-68 championship game win over Rim Rockers.
