As we head into Week 4 of men's play, the two teams who played in the finals last year, Eggan Excavating and Rim Rockers, head the standings.

Defending champs Eggan is 3-0. They are again moving the ball beautifully and draining 3s. Shea Bromirski and EJ Gallup do most of the damage from deep, while bigs Dominykas Milka and Devin Grimes bring both skill and inside strength. Joe Cremo played the first game, but the transfer from U. of Albany to defending national champion Villanova isn't certain if he will be able to play more with Eggan this season. Last year, Milka missed our playoffs because he had to return to his professional team in France.

Rim Rockers are also 3-0. Last season's unit has added two former King of Kings MVPs in Dajuan Colemen and Kenton Chan-Man and all-star Mickey Davis. They join team veterans Cornelius Vines, Lamar Kearse and Mookie Jones to give the Rockers a winning mix of size and shooting.

Team Eannace is 2-1, getting strong play from the Boeheim brothers, Cornell's Jimmy and incoming Syracuse freshman Buddy. Denzel Gregg is back playing in King of Kings after four years at St. Bonaventure and a season as a pro in Austria. Last week, SU wide receiver Trishton Jackson suited up and scored 34 points. He is likely to continue with Team Eannace until football training begins in August.

The all Utica CNY Sealcoating and the Underdog squad from Syracuse, led by Anthony Bryant, are each 2-1. Quadsimia is 1-2, but has lost close games. Dave Golembiowski and Josh Gregory lead Quadsimia scorers. Golembiowski has played in Germany since 2010.
